    Resume

  • Hi, I’m Anne Evans—a game designer who loves building immersive worlds and interactive experiences. My journey into game design wasn’t exactly linear, but it’s one I’m incredibly proud of. Growing up, I was a huge fan of all kinds of games, but I didn’t realize this passion could turn into a career until my freshman year at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

I originally studied drawing and painting, but one of my professors noticed something unique about my work and suggested I explore game design. At the time, I was creating installations that combined visuals with sound, physical barriers, and even scent to create fully immersive experiences. That suggestion changed everything for me. During a year off due to COVID-19, I threw myself into learning game design, building a solid foundation and a deeper drive to make this my career.

Game design has become my way of crafting the sense of escapism I cherished growing up. It’s my favorite kind of storytelling—one where people can explore, interact, and connect. Whether I’m coding mechanics, designing environments, or working on UI, I’m always focused on creating experiences that resonate with players.

Outside of game development, I’ve taken on roles that have shaped my communication and leadership skills, from being a computer science teacher to a swim coach. These experiences taught me how to collaborate, adapt, and connect with people—a mindset I bring into every creative team and project I’m part of.

At the heart of it all, I’m driven by the challenge of designing games that leave a lasting impact. Whether it’s through rich narratives, engaging mechanics, or detailed environments, I’m here to create worlds worth exploring.
